Inclusion Criteria

  • •carpal tunnel syndrome

Exclusion Criteria

  • •Systemic inflammatory diseases
  • •Diabetes mellitus
  • •Metal implants
  • •Previous wrist surgery or wrist fracture
  • •Traumatic onset of CTS
  • •Cervical radiculopathy or other neuropathy of the upper limb/neck
  • •Pregnancy associated CTS (or thought to be pregnant as MRI is a relative contraindication)
  • •Pending litigation
  • •Claustrophobia (MRI)
