简要总结
Background:
Power and endurance training is a critical component for athletes. Strategies and designs are optimized for athletes in sports depending on endurance and power properties. Endurance – to sustain repeated contractions against a resistance for an extended period of time activity for long period of time without fatigue. Power - ability of the neuromuscular system to produce the greatest possible impulse in a given time period. Athletes have injuries most commonly to the overall upper limb muscles25% of adolescents reported injury at least once in recreational sports. In sports, to resist external forces via altered recruitment of shoulder and arm musculature; conversely, the external forces applied on-ergometer may directly alter upper limb, thus affecting associated muscle recruitment patterns.
Objective:
To evaluate the effectiveness of upper limb ergometer training on power (Repetition maximum) for college athletes. To evaluate the effectiveness of upper limb ergometer training on endurance (heart rate, MET) for college athletes.
Methods:
It is an interventional study with total of 30 subjects only male players will be selected according to inclusion criteria. They will be classified as a single group according to pre and post test values. Trained for 6 weeks, alternate days per week.
Result:
Statistical analysis will be done after data collected and conclusion would be drawn.
Keywords:
Ergometer, power, endurance, recreational athletes
