•1) Symptom duration for more than 3 months
•2) Confirmatory X-ray Diagnosis according to Kellgrenâ?? Lawrence grade 1â??3 within the past 3
•3) Patients with no other comorbidities

•1) Patient refusal
•2) Infection or active wound in the knee area
•3) recent history of severe trauma to the knee
•4) autoimmune and platelet disorders
•5) treatment with anticoagulant and antiplatelet medications 10 days before injection
•6) use of NSAIDs 2 days before injection
•7) history of knee intra-articular injections of corticosteroids during the past 3 weeks or use of systemic corticosteroids 2 weeks before PRP injections
•8) hemoglobin measures of 12g/dL and platelet counts less than 150,000/ml
•9) allergy to avian proteins, feathers and egg products or hypersensitivity to hyaluronate
