Inclusion Criteria
- •American Society of Anesthesiologists I ,II or III
- •Scheduled for elective surgery and requiring general anesthesia with direct laryngoscopy.
Exclusion Criteria
- •Patient refusal
- •Edentuolus patients
- •Patients in whom the interincisor gap was less than 3 cm
- •Patients with head and neck pathologies
- •Parturients
- •Rapid sequence intubation
- •Pre\-existing limitation or pain with cervical spine movement.
- •Radiotherapy at the cervical level.
