Patients diagnosed with facial fractures involving dental occlusion requiring IMF admitted at Santa Casa de Caridade de Diamantina; patients older than 18 years old; healthy patients according to their medical history and physical examination.
Patients diagnosed with complex facial fractures that it would be impossible to evaluate the variables/outcomes; patients with metabolic diseases; toothless patients or those lacking 5 or more posterior teeth; patients in whom it is not possible to achieve intraoperative dental occlusion; patients with history of previous mandibular fractures.
