- •ASA physical status grade 1 or 2.
- •Children planned for elective surgery and requiring general anaesthesia with orotracheal intubation.
- •Surgeries expected to last 1-3 hours.
排除标准
- •Children with oropharyngeal or neck malformations.
- •Children who had previously required tracheal intubation or tracheostomy.
- •Presence of stridor or dysphonia.
- •Children requiring surgery of neck, larynx or oropharynx.
- •Children requiring a nasogastric or orogastric tube.
- •Children requiring or receiving steroid medication.
