- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Expected outcome 1: To evaluate the effectiveness of tooth whitening with the use of bleaching toothpastes after daily use, according to the manufacturers' instructions for the two groups studied.;The efficacy and speed of the bleaching effect was assessed by color variation (Delta E) after one week of the bleaching session, end of treatment, 15 and 30 days after the end of the treatment, verified by a portable digital spectrophotometer (Easyshade-Vita, Brea, California, USA), according to the CIELab system, based on a variation of at least 5% in pre and post intervention measurements. The evaluated toothpastes were not able to produce a whitening effect similar to supervised bleaching. The durability (maintenance) of the whitening effect obtained with dentifrices is small, with total reversion of the coloration in 30 days.
