Airway management is an important part of any patient undergoing a surgical procedure. Unanticipated difficult airway in patients is associated with lot of potential risk for the safety of the patient and remain a challenge for anaesthesiologist. upper airway Ultrasonography may help us because it requires less patient cooperation than the already existing methods like Thyromental distance and Sternomental distance. It also adds to the value of old methods by improving the accuracy of prediction of difficult airway when used together.

入选标准
- •1.Patients undergoing elective surgeries under general anaesthesia.
- •2.ASA physical status 1,2,
- •3.Patient aged 18-70 years.
- •4.No upper airway deformity, tumor, trauma.
排除标准
- •1.Modified anaesthesia protocol or cancellation of endotracheal intubation.
- •2.Patients with oro-facial trauma or deformity.
