a) For Patients: Patients with Advanced or metastatic cancer who have been denied curative surgery/radiation therapy/chemotherapy and receiving best supportive care, over 18 years of age, conscious and able to communicate, consenting to participate, be able to read and understand Hindi or English.
b)For caregivers: Caregivers over 18 years of age should be providing care for adult patients with Advanced or metastatic cancer who have been denied curative surgery/radiation therapy/chemotherapy and receiving best supportive care, and both have to consent to participate, be able to read and understand Hindi or English
a) Comatose/ unconscious patients, unable to communicate; b) Caregivers will be excluded if they are in active treatment for cancer themselves. Primary caregivers will be identified by the Patient/ palliative care unit, and patients along with their caregivers will be excluded if it will be unclear who the primary caregiver would be or if patient performance status suggests that patients would not survive more than a few days.
