Patient who require rapid sequence induction (RSI) during general anaesthesia for urgent/emergent abdomino-pelvic surgeries.
Patient aged 18 years and above,who are competent to give informed consent
•Pregnant females at any gestational age.
•Patients with severe cardio-respiratory disease.
•Clinical suspicion or confirmed diagnosis of base of skull fracture or severe facial trauma that precludes nasal cannula placement.
•Contraindications to the rapid sequence induction, if any (e.g. already intubated patients).
•BMI >=40kg/m2
•Patients with laryngotracheal stenosis or benign or malignant hypopharyngeal obstruction
