1.Duration of illness up to 5 years
2.Right-handed patient
3.Diagnosis of Schizophrenia as per the DSM 5 criteria.
4.Patients having mental healthcare capacity and willing to participate in the study.
5.Those who can acknowledge and read English alphabets and number digits).
1.Participants having co-morbid psychiatric illness or substance use disorder (except tobacco use) as excluded using Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview (M.I.N.I.) version 7.0.
2.History of seizures or substantial brain damage or brain aneurysm or any other neurological disorder or neurosurgery.
3.Subjects who have received ECT or any other form of brain neuromodulation in past 6 months.
4.Patients with medical implants such as defibrillators or pacemakers or brain aneurysmal clips.
5.Patients in whom tDCS is contraindicated such as pregnant women, migraine, skin lesions involving scalp, etc.
