Inclusion Criteria
- •acute gastroenteritis with diarrhea
- •moderate dehydration (accord. to WHO 10 point score)
- •inability to drink sufficient fluid
- •age between three months and six years
Exclusion Criteria
- •mild or severe dehydration (accord. to WHO 10 point score)
- •severe chronic diseases
- •long term medication, affecting the course of the gastroenteritis
- •age \< three months or \> six years
- •other complications (hypernatriaemia, hypoglycaemia)
