Brief Summary

Automated titration of propofol and remifentanil guided by the bispectral index (BIS) has been used for numerous surgical procedures. Orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT) uniquely combines major volaemic changes, an anhepatic phase, and ischaemia-reperfusion syndrome.
