简要总结
This study investigates the impact of Gayatri Mantra chanting on Satvasarta (a measure of mental and psychological strength in Ayurveda) and Cognitive Ability among middle-aged adults of 30 to 50 year age group. Grounded in Ayurvedic principles the study aims to scientifically validate the correlation and potential therapeutic benefits of mantra meditation on mental health and cognitive functioning The Aim of the Study is to assess the prevalence and correlation of Satvasarta status and cognitive ability in middle-aged adults and evaluate the impact of GM chanting on these parameter.
In Ayurveda, Satvasarta is an important diagnostic concept reflecting the mental strength and resilience of an individual. It is categorized as Pravara (High), Madhyama (Moderate) or Avara (Low) Low Satvasarta is associated with increased vulnerability to psychological disorders. Cognitive ability, as defined in psychology and clinical diagnostics like DSM-5 includes domains such as memory, attention, and executive function While previous research has examined the relationship between Satvasarta and emotional intelligence or stress, limited work has explored the impact of meditative practices, especially Gayatri Mantra chanting, on Satvasarta and cognition The GM is an ancient Vedic chant with known benefits in reducing stress, improving emotional regulation, and enhancing concentration this is an Cross-sectional intervention study in which 100 participants out of which 30 will be given intervention and 30 control in second phase of study. Healthy volunteers aged 30–50 years will be included in the study and persons with any Chronic diseases, psychological disorders, incomplete data, and those outside the age criteria will be excluded from the study. The intervention with Gayatri Mantra Chanting will be given for 12 weeks and No additional therapy or medications will be given to the participants. The Satvasarta Status will be evaluated by Validated questionnaire and Cognitive Ability will be analysed by Brief Cognitive Assessment Tool (BCAT) Scoring to assess the prevalence of Satvasarta status and cognitive ability in 100 participants using structured questionnaire If results show significant improvement GM chanting may be recognized as a cost-effective non-pharmacological approach to enhancing mental health and cognitive resilience
