Inclusion Criteria
All patients admitted to ICU above 18 years of age.
Exclusion Criteria
•Elective surgical patients
•icu stay less than 24 hrs
•patients already having invasive bacterial infections ( c/s-+ve).
•Re- admission to ICU.
•Patients in whom admission surveillance cultures are not obtained or are obtained outside the specified time window of 24 hours
