infants with gestational age greater than or equal to 36 weeks, which present Apgar score> 7 at 5 minutes and clinical stability with maintaining physiological parameters in the normal range, ie, heart rate between 120 to 160 beats per minute (bpm). Mothers whose children are randomly assigned as skin to skin contact should be in physical and emotional conditions to breastfeed.
