Patients having common mental disorders diagnosed as per ICD-10 criteria by the psychiatrist and currently on medication will be included in the study.
Patients under 18 years of age will be excluded from the study. Additionally, epileptic, intellectually disabled, severe mental disorders including substance dependence syndrome (except tobacco) and patients having organic mental disorder will be excluded from the study. Hospitalized (IPD) patients will also be excluded from the study.

Name Time Method The study aims to describe the socio-demographic and morbidity profile of patients attending a psychiatry out-patient department & identify the association between socio-demographic variables and the prevailing mental health morbidity. It also aims to describe the level of internalized stigma perceived by patients & identify the association between self-stigma and socio-demographic as well clinical profile of the patient. <br/ ><br>Timepoint: May 2020. <br/ ><br>

Name Time Method This study will add to literature in providing estimates of self-stigma in patients with common mental disorders as there have been very few studies to assess stigma in patients having common mental disorders. It will also have implications in planning of social change measures needed for mental health disorders prevention as well as address internal stigma in these patients. <br/ ><br> <br/ ><br>Timepoint: November 2020.
