Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\)Patients of either sex, aged 20â??70 years,
- •2\)Body mass index (BMI) 25â??35 kg/m2
- •3\)ASA physical status I \& II
- •4\)Patients with normal cardiorespiratory function
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\)Refusal by patient for the procedure
- •2\)Patients having bleeding disorders or on anticoagulants,
- •3\)Those having a history of treatment for a chronic pain condition and were on daily analgesics for more than 4 weeks
- •4\)Patients with basal metabolic index \>35 kg/m2 or the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status \>Il
- •5\)Patients with infection at the site of injection.
- •6\)Those with allergy or sensitive to local anaesthetic agents
- •7\)Those with severe respiratory disease, neurological deficits involving the popliteal nerve
