Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\)Patients of either sex, aged 20â??70 years,
  • •2\)Body mass index (BMI) 25â??35 kg/m2
  • •3\)ASA physical status I \& II
  • •4\)Patients with normal cardiorespiratory function

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\)Refusal by patient for the procedure
  • •2\)Patients having bleeding disorders or on anticoagulants,
  • •3\)Those having a history of treatment for a chronic pain condition and were on daily analgesics for more than 4 weeks
  • •4\)Patients with basal metabolic index \>35 kg/m2 or the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status \>Il
  • •5\)Patients with infection at the site of injection.
  • •6\)Those with allergy or sensitive to local anaesthetic agents
  • •7\)Those with severe respiratory disease, neurological deficits involving the popliteal nerve
