简要总结

This study aims to evaluate and compare the effectiveness of sand-based plyometric training and traditional resistance training on improving physical fitness parameters—namely standing long jump, 10m sprint speed, agility (via the T-test), and calf girth—in young male football players aged 15–18. Recognizing the importance of explosive strength, speed, and agility in football, the study focuses on two popular training approaches: plyometrics, which emphasize neuromuscular coordination and reactive strength, and resistance training, which builds muscle strength through progressive overload.

The methodology involves 32 participants randomly assigned to either the plyometric or resistance training group for six weeks. Each group follows a structured regimen targeting lower limb performance. The outcomes will be evaluated using standardized performance tests and anthropometric measures.

The research addresses a gap in existing literature regarding the comparative benefits of these training types, especially using a sand surface for plyometrics, which adds instability and metabolic demand. The findings aim to inform physiotherapists and sports trainers about optimized training protocols for enhancing performance and reducing injury risks in young athletes.
