Good general health
Patients having at least 12 natural teeth with minimum of three in each jaw quadrant.
Two sites in each quadrant with a minimum probing depth of 5 mm.
Smoking
Two sites in each quadrant with a minimum probing depth of 5 mm.
Pregnancy
Lactation
Those who had recieved systemic antibiotics or surgical or non-surgical periodontal treatment within the past 6 months.
Use of long-term administration of anti-inflamatory medications within the past 3 month
Extensive dental prosthetic involvement.
