Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\. All genders between 18 to 75 years of age
- •2\. Patients with American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status classification of I\-III
- •3\. Patients subjected to elective laparoscopic liver resection
- •4\. Patients who have given informed consent to participate in this study
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\. Patients with BMI greater than 35 kg/m2 (morbid obesity)
- •2\. Patients with severe obstructive sleep apnea
- •3\. Patients with a history of local anesthetics allergy
- •4\. Patients with skin infection at the injection site of the procedure
- •5\. Patients with any known renal, liver, or heart failure
- •6\. Patients with abnormal coagulation.
- •7\. Patients with daily regular intake of opioid or chronic opioids used
- •8\. Patients who are unable to communicate and cooperate to pain assessment including mental retardation.
