age range from 18 to 55 years old, clinical diagnosis of acute colic pain, pain intensity of 7-10 based on VAS, and patients’ consent for participation in the study.
Exclusion criteria:
Angle-closure Glaucoma, Symptomatic benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH) - peptic ulcer disease - a bladder neck obstruction - pyloric or duodenal obstruction - Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) - Asthma - sleep apnea - urinary retention - Hyperthyroidism - high intraocular pressure and blood pressure - cardiovascular diseases. Also, pregnancy or suspected pregnancy, contraindications for receiving morphine and citalopram according to the drugs’ catalog, a history of dependency on opioid or SSRIs, receiving an analgesic drug within last 6-hours, peritonitis or signs of peritoneal irritation, inability to communicate for any reason, patient’s withdrawal from participation in the study.

Name Time Method Pain intensity. Timepoint: at base line (00), 15, 30, 45, 60 minutes of treatment. Method of measurement: observation, Using a 10-cm visual analog scale, the pain intensity will be measured. ( 10= intolerable pain, 1= no pain).
