Adults of either gender.
proximal third tibia fractures with AO type 41A2.1, 41A2.2, 41A2.3, 41A3.1, 41A3.2, 41A3.3, 42A1(a),42A2(a), 42A3(a), 42B2(a), 42B3(a), 42C2, 42C3(i).
Segmental fractures[42C2, 42C3(i)] with any one of the lines follow the above AO type.
Fresh fractures less than 3 weeks of trauma.
Patient refusal to give consent.
Fracture line extending into intra articular surface.
Open fractures deemed unfit for nailing.
Wound or Infection over the nail insertion site.
General contraindications for the surgery.
