Inclusion Criteria

All adult patients( > 18 years) planned for elective surgery under neuromuscular relaxation with orotracheal intubation.

Exclusion Criteria

Restricted mouth opening <3cm

Nasotracheal intubation

Prior irradiation to the head and neck region

BMI >35kgm-2

Extra axial mass in the neck and/or demonstrated intraluminal airway obstruction including tongue and laryngeal malignancies.

Physiologically difficult airway

Suspected or proven airway hemorrhage

Room air saturation < 95% at room air

Inability and Unwillingness to provide informed consent.

Patients at risk of aspiration of gastric contents
