•1. Patients with undifferentiated arthritis: inflammatory arthritis that does not fulfill the classification criteria for a more definitive diagnosis (e.g. 1987 ACR classification criteria for RA )
•2. Age >= 20 years old
•3. Symptom duration < 1 year

•1. Patients who have received disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs or corticosteroids within 3 months
•2. Patients with chronic inflammatory diseases: systemic lupus erythematosus, inflammatory myositis, systemic sclerosis, vasculitis, spondyloarthropathy, chronic tophaceous gout
•3. Patients with severe systemic diseases
•- malignancy within 5 years
•- severe, uncontrolled cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, pulmonary, endocrine, hematology, neurologic disorder
•- history of severe trauma or major operation within 8 weeks
•- drug abuser
•4. Pregnancy or patients willing to pregnant
•5. Abnormal laboratory findings
•WBC < 3,000 /mm3, neutrophil < 1,200 /mm3
•Hb < 9 mg/dL, Platelet < 100,000 /mm3
•AST > 68 IU/L, ALT > 92 IU/L, T.bil > 2.4 mg/dL, Cr > 1.4 mg/d
