It is a prospective, randomized, single-blinded comparative study to compare the efficacy of dexmedetomidine and clonidine as adjuvant to ropivacaine in supraclavicular block in patients undergoing forearm surgeries.
Parameters that will be compared between the two groups will be the onset and duration of action of sensory and motor blockade, duration of analgesia and time to rescue analgesia.

入选标准
- •ASA grade I and II patients.
- •Aged between 18-60 years of either sex.
- •Patients undergoing upper limb surgery.
- •Availability of informed consent.
排除标准
- •Patients with ASA physical status III or more.
- •Patients with below 18 years and above 60 years.
- •Patients posted for emergency procedures.
- •Patients with major neurological, cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, renal, hepatic disease or with coagulation abnormalities.
- •Patients contraindicated for regional technique.
- •Patients with known allergies to the local anesthetics.

时间窗: After administration of the block, comparison between the two groups of onset and duration of sensory and motor blockade, duration of analgesia will be assessed at baseline, after injection of study drug, at 5 mins, 10 mins, 15 mins, 30 mins, and 10 mins after surgery
