Inclusion Criteria
Late preterm and term neonates of gestational age >=34 weeks, born at AIIMS, Rishikesh.
Exclusion Criteria
1. Small for gestational age neonates (diagnosed on the basis of ultrasonographically determined fetal weight below 10th percentile for gestational age as per Intergrowth 21st standard).
2. Neonates born to mother with:
a. Hemodynamic instability
b. Placental previa/abruption
c. Multiple gestation
3. Major congenital malformation
4. Fetal Hydrops

Name Time Method 1. Admission temperature (axillary) <br/ ><br>2. Incidences of polycythemia (HCT 65%) and the need for partial exchange transfusion. <br/ ><br>3. Incidence of significant hyperbilirubinemia requiring phototherapy and the duration of phototherapy. <br/ ><br>4. Incidence of exchange transfusion. <br/ ><br>5. Peak serum bilirubin level during first 7 days of life. <br/ ><br>6. Incidence of respiratory distress requiring respiratory support and duration of respiratory support. <br/ ><br>7. Incidences of feeding intolerance and necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) (Modified Bell Stage II and beyond). <br/ ><br>8. Incidence of postpartum hemorrhage (PPH; blood loss more than 500 ml for vaginal delivery and 1lt for cesareans delivery as assessed by obstetric team). <br/ ><br>9. Need for blood transfusion in mother within 72 hours of delivery <br/ ><br>10. Serum ferritin levels at 12±2 weeks of age at follow-up <br/ ><br>Timepoint: During hospital stay and at follow up.
