- Brief Summary
This study is a cohort study to find out whether an elevated D dimer value , which is usually associated with trauma and surgery making them a procoagulant state , could lead to major adverse cardiovascular events such as DVT, Pulmonary embolism, myocardial infarction, Stroke .
Trauma patients without any history of cardiovascular diseases, who are scheduled for elective surgery are selected as the study population.
