Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •(i) Patients with acute pancreatitis diagnosed as per revised Atlanta classification
- •(ii) Hospitalisation within 14 days of onset of pancreatitis (iii) Patient suspected to have infected acute fluid collection (iv) Providing consent for study
Exclusion Criteria
- •(i) Age \< 18 years, \>75 years
- •(ii) Patients with systemic organ dysfunction in the form of altered sensorium and/or hypotension requiring inotropic support and/or respiratory failure requiring mechanical ventilation and/or acute kidney injury requiring hemodialysis at the time of enrolment in the study.
- •(iii) Other major co\-morbid conditions e.g. Acute myocardial infarction, major gastrointestinal bleeding, chronic kidney disease, cirrhosis of the liver, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection.
