- •age =35 years
- •- minimum of 16 residual teeth
- •- untreated generalized moderate to severe chronic periodontitis with characteristic clinical inflammation symptoms
- •- minimum of 4 teeth with probing pocket depth =6mm
- •- approximal plaque index (API) =25%
- •- papillary bleeding index (PBI) =25%
排除标准
- •- heavy smokers (=10 cigarettes/day in the last 12 months)
- •- uncontrolled medical conditions
- •- use of systemic antibiotics during the last three months
- •- periodontal treatment during the last three months
- •- pregnant or lactating females
- •- aggressive periodontitis
