Perceived Impact of Barriers and Challenges Encountered by Allied Health Professionals in Using and Accessing Health Information Systems in Tertiary Care Hospital

This study aims to assess perceived impact of barriers and challenges encountered by allied health professionals in using and accessing Health Information Systems (HIS) in healthcare delivery and patient outcome. Main objectives of this study is, To identify the perceived barriers and challenges in using and accessing Health Information System (HIS) by allied health professionals in an Indian tertiary care hospital and, To explore the perceived impact of these barriers on healthcare delivery and patient outcomes as per the allied health professionals. Through in-depth interviews conducted with consent and ensuring confidentiality, the study aims to reach thematic saturation and analyze the data using ATLAS-ti software. Ultimately, this study holds significant value for administrators, policymakers, and researchers as it identifies the challenges and barriers related to Health Information System (HIS) access and use in tertiary care settings. It explores the perceived impact of these barriers on healthcare delivery and patient outcomes, providing valuable insights for improving the use of Health Information Systems (HIS) in clinical practice.
