Inclusion Criteria
Age of majority
Total bilirubin > 3 mg/dl
Exclusion Criteria
Patients who or their legal guardians have not consented to the study
Patients after liver transplantation
Death likely within 48 hours of inclusion
Chronic liver function impairment with bilirubin >3mg/dl prior to acute illness
No planned LiMON® measurement in clinical routine
Postoperative after liver transplantation
