Inclusion Criteria

ASA 1 and 2

patients undergoing elective surgery requiring general anaesthesia requiring endotracheal intubation

Exclusion Criteria

1. difficult airway with airway difficulty score >8

2. morbid obesity BMI >35

3. known airway pathology

4. oropharyngeal surgeries

5. patients at increased risk of aspiration

6. previous upper GI surgeries

7. known or anticipated difficult intubation or facemask ventilation

8. coagulopathy or history of anticoagulant use

9. cardiorespiratory or cerebrovascular disease

10. cervical spine injuries

11. pregnant patients

12. mandible surgeries
