Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •ASA 1 and 2
  • •patients undergoing elective surgery requiring general anaesthesia requiring endotracheal intubation

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\. difficult airway with airway difficulty score \>8
  • •2\. morbid obesity BMI \>35
  • •3\. known airway pathology
  • •4\. oropharyngeal surgeries
  • •5\. patients at increased risk of aspiration
  • •6\. previous upper GI surgeries
  • •7\. known or anticipated difficult intubation or facemask ventilation
  • •8\. coagulopathy or history of anticoagulant use
  • •9\. cardiorespiratory or cerebrovascular disease
  • •10\. cervical spine injuries
