Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •ASA 1 or 2 women with term, uncomplicated, singleton pregnancy scheduled to undergo elective and emergency caesarean section
  • •\- Systolic blood pressure: 100 to 150 mm of Hg
  • •\- Diastolic blood pressure: 70 to 90 mm of Hg

Exclusion Criteria

  • •\- Patient refusal to participate in study
  • •\- Absolute and relative contraindication to spinal anesthesia
  • •\- Pregnancy induced hypertension, pre\-eclampsia, eclampsia etc..
  • •\- CVS (e.g. valvular heart disease) and CNS(e.g. cv stroke) abnormalities
  • •\- Diabetes Mellitus (Random blood sugar \>140 mg/dl)
  • •\- Fetal (e.g. macrocephaly) and placental abnormalities(e.g. placenta previa)
  • •\- Sensitivity to local anaesthetic agent used in study
