The study will be conducted to determine the proportion of amputations among the diabetic foot ulcer patients and to identify the factors associated with amputations among the diabetic foot ulcer patients.
It will be a Retrospective observational study of 8 months duration and will be conducted in the Medical records department, Justice K.S. Hegde Charitable Hospital, Deralakatte,Mangaluru . Retrospective data (of both gender patients above 18 years old diagnosed with Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Diabetic Foot Ulcer) from 1st January 2021 to 31st December 2023 (approximately 640) will be included in the study.The patient demographic details such as age, gender, place of residence, type of diabetes, duration of diabetes and DFU, BMI, comorbidities, osteomyelitis, smoking, serum protein level, Hb1Ac, amputation related information etc. will be collected.

- •Patients aged above 18 years Both gender patients Diagnosed with either Type 1 or Type 2 DM Diagnosed with DFU.
排除标准
- •Traumatic any ulcers other than DFU Other foot infections/ abscess Pregnancy and lactation women Cognitive, psychiatry and terminal illness patients Patient data with incomplete records.
