Inclusion Criteria
primiparous women
at first full-term pregnancy
singleton pregnancies and
cephalic and had no spinal deformity
Exclusion Criteria
pregnant women who had contraindication to epidural anesthesia
pregnant women who had signs of fetal distress
pregnant women with contraindications for vaginal delivery
