入选标准
- •age of 30–70 years
- •- present diagnosis of severe chronic periodontitis of at least 6 teeth with a probing pocket depth (PPD) >5 mm, bleeding
- •- written informed consent
- •- Plaque Index (PI) < 1 and Gingiva Index (GI) <1 after pretreatment
排除标准
- •- major systemic illnesses (i.e., diabetes mellitus, cancer, HIV, tuberculosis, bone metabolic diseases or disorders that compromise wound healing, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus erythematosus)
- •- radiation, or immunosuppressive therapy
- •- pregnant or breastfeeding woman
- •- smoking behaviour
- •- use of long-term administration of anti-inflammatory medications
- •- antibiotic therapies in the previous 6 months
- •- teeth with furcation involvement
- •- radiologically diagnosted combined endodontic-periodontic lesions
