Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •ASA grade I\& II patients
- •All patients posted for elective day care surgery
Exclusion Criteria
- •Patients refusal to give consent
- •Patients with known or predicted difficult airway, Mallampatti grade \>III, mouth opening \< 2\.5cms.
- •Patients with significant acute or chronic lung disease, pathology of the neck or upper respiratory ract.
- •ASA grade III and IV patients
- •Duration of surgery \>1 hour
- •Patients with increased risk of aspiration\[hiatus hernia,gastro\- esophageal reflux disease, full stomach, obese patients\[ BMI \>30Kg/m2],pregnant patients.
