Inclusion criteria
Clinical diagnosis of acute stroke, neurological deficit assessed with NIHSS (NIHSS>4)
CT scan without infarct demarkation and without hemorrhage.
CT angiography with occlusion in distal ACI/ACM/ACA/basilar artery.
Symptom onset within 6 hours before treatment initiation, in CTA with peripheral contrast filling of the occluded vessel territory as a sign of collateral circulation over 6 hours before treatment start, in case of basilar artery occlusion no time window. Age over 18 years.
Exclusion criteria
cerebral infarction in the territory of the occluded artery
Bleeding on CT scan
Head injury in previous 4 weeks
Severe Hypertension > 180 syst.
coagulation abnormalities PTT>50 or INR >1,7
