Primary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
The planned study will examine the need for cancer-specific suicidality screening by describing the causes, function and meaning of suicidal ideation and death wishes in cancer patients. It will also explore and describe the role of feelings of demoralisation, loss of control and distress in the development of suicidal ideation and death wishes. It will also explore how patients would like to deal with suicidality and how they would like to discuss it. The pilot study will provide initial data that will be used to adapt the study procedure and survey instruments for the main study, if necessary.
