简要总结
Yoga goals and perceptions are not the same across countries and cultures. The online and remote model of yoga delivery comes with its social benefits, albeit with comparative disadvantages. It is essential to understand these divergences of Yoga as science and its overall social impact wrt to eastern (India) and Western (USA) cultures. The Gap between yoga knowledge and practice varies among population segments, and a similar gap will exist from country to country. Such KAP (Knowledge-Attitude-Practice) gap creates uniques barriers and benefits in the respective region in the world. (Mishra et al., 2020) Therefore, this variance in Yoga efficacy may differ from region to region worldwide. Further, it may be valuable to compare the remote delivery methods with in-person methods on the Body, Mind, Breath, and Spirituality measures.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVESYoga delivery methods are evolving from Guru-Shishya Tradition (an authentic mode of delivery proven by thousands of years of practice) to the domains of Remote learning (online, Mobile Apps., A.I., V.R., Metaverse.) People embrace Remote Yoga as a viable substitute for in-person Yoga with expectations of physical wellness, Therapy, and spiritual goals. Both technology and tradition must co-exist in the future of Yoga Science (knowledge and practice). It may significantly impact how Yoga is practiced and its benefits across different regions in the world.
AIMS OF THE STUDY:This study aims to compare and analyze the traditional in-person Yoga delivery method with remote delivery modes in the context of the global demographics of India and North America.
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY: 1. To evaluate and compare the achievement of Yoga goals of “wellness†to “self-realization†achieved through Remote (technology) and In-person methods across two global socio-economic demographics.
2. To evaluate the efficacy and limitations of Remote Yoga for physical and mental Therapy. Thereby, understanding the challenges to scaling the remote delivery of Yoga.
3. To compare the factors that drive adoption, practice, barriers, and benefits of Yoga in respective regions.
4. To understand the interaction of the yoga component with demographics and social factors in the context of the eastern and western world.
