研究概览

简要总结

Studies have shown improvement in muscle recruitment patterns when incorporating the kinetic chain. However, there has been no intervention to understand the effect of kinetic chain training on movement quality, power, range of motion, and myofascial stiffness.

It is a pragmatic randomized controlled trial with a duration of 6 months. Healthy participants are selected under certain and after getting their consent study will be conducted. Participants in the intervention group will come for a total of 12 supervised sessions in a span of 4 weeks. The control group will continue with their own training or no training if they don’t train.

Pre and post-intervention data is collected for movement quality, power, rotational range of motion, and myofascial stiffness.

入选标准

  • Recreational overhead athletes who have played the sport at least 2-4 hours/week for the last 6 months.

排除标准

  • History of musculoskeletal injuries in the past 6 months.
  • History of upper and lower extremities or spinal surgery in the past 1 year.
  • History of cardiovascular or respiratory diseases.
