Inclusion Criteria

Group I (control group)

1. Age and sex matched healthy oral mucosa cases.

2.Normal appearing mucosa of patients who will be undergoing crown lengthening procedure, periodontal surgery or 3rd molar impaction surgery

Group II (study group)

II a. Oral Leukoplakia cases with low-risk epithelial dysplasia

II b. Oral Leukoplakia cases with high risk of epithelial dysplasia

Exclusion Criteria

Group I (control group)

1.Patients not willing to participate in the study.

Group IIa and IIb (study group):

1.Patients with other established carcinomas.

2.Clinico-histopathologically diagnosed OPMDs other than oral leukoplakia

3. Patients who are undergoing any local/systemic treatment for Oral Leukoplakia.

4.Patients not willing to participate in the study.
