入选标准
- •Retrospective (protocol A) and prospective (protocol B) investigation: Admission for inpatient treatment or takeover after secondary relocation for surgical intervention due to an occupational accident insured by the German Statutory Accident Insurance system.
- •Age between 18 and 65 years.
排除标准
- •Retrospective Evaluation (Protocol A):
- •Missing data on glucose homeostasis
- •Prospective Study (Protocol B):
- •Missing informed consent
- •Insufficient proficiency in the German language or other communication problems
- •Severe cognitive impairment or psychiatric illness
- •Current malignant illness
- •Other neurological disorders including cerebral ischemia, dementia, paraplegia, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s syndrome, spinal stenosis, and epilepsy with anticonvulsive treatment)
- •Exclusion criteria for certain investigations of protocol B:
- •Contraindications for certain methods including quantitative sensory testing (QST) or confocal corneal microscopy (in these cases the respective investigation is omitted).
- •Skin diseases in the area of measurement
- •Local treatment in the area of measurement with topically applied local anaesthetics (= 7 days within the previous six weeks or > 7 days within the previous four months) or with capsaicin (during the previous six months).
- •Marked hypersensitivity of allodynia
- •Corneal transplantation (ceroplastic)
- •Eye surgery with conjunctival or corneal affection (e. g. in cases of cataract) during the previous three months
- •Expected poor cooperation
