who diagnosed as rotator cuff tear (1 - 4cm) based on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans conducted at our hospital. All patient condition corresponded to physical status I and II of the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) criteria.
Exclusion criteria were re-operation due to re-tear; debridement or partial repair; open or miniopen repair; diabetes; cardiac(ischemic heart disease, arrhythmia) or respiratory (SpO2 < 95%); hypersensitivity to local anesthesia; concomitant nerve injury around the shoulder; and preexisting coagulopathy.
