Inclusion Criteria
Patients of either sex
- able to speak the German language
- Ability to give consent must be given and a written declaration of consent must be available
- Mobility and motility test must be able to be completed
Exclusion Criteria
- Patients with an aversion or prejudice against dogs or animal-assisted therapy.
- Patients in isolation
- Patients with an allergy to dog hair
- Patients with mild, moderate and severe dementia (cut-off MMST* =25)

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method The primary target parameter of the study is the recording of the mobility (activity) of the study participants. This will be recorded at baseline, during and after completion of the 2-week intervention by a combined endpoint consisting of the geriatric assessment level 2 (TUG and Tinetti) and a pedometer.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Secondary endpoints are:<br>Motivation to participate in exercise therapy sessions (VAS, MDBF). <br>The influence of a therapy dog on depression in old age (HADS-D questionnaire). <br>Autonomic self-regulation (aR, Kröz et al. 2016), which is evaluated with regard to motivation and as a predictor of therapy response.
