Inclusion Criteria

Healthy patients; both genders; age between 18 and 80 years; need for endodontic treatment

Exclusion Criteria

Allergy to local anesthetics; allergy to corticosteroids and starch; use of analgesic or anti-inflammatory drugs 12 hours before the procedure; pregnant or lactating women; diabetics not under control; teeth with open apex
