The study aims to determine the effect of implementing cough augmentation techniques on weaning outcomes among critically ill patients

Cough augmentation techniques are important interventions for critically ill patients who have impaired cough strength due to mechanical ventilation, neuromuscular weakness, sedation, or respiratory muscle dysfunction. These techniques, which include manual assisted cough, lung volume recruitment, and mechanical insufflation-exsufflation, enhance expiratory airflow and improve the clearance of airway secretions
