Be physically independent; Be 60 years of age or older; Do not present medical history of heart disease, musculoskeletal disorders, diabetes, uncontrolled hypertension or any other dysfunction that restricts the practice of high intensity physical exercises; Do not use hormone therapy medications, lipid-lowering agents, hypoglycemic agents and anti-inflammatories
Regular participation in systematic exercise programs in the three months prior to the present study; Presence of uncontrolled cardiovascular and musculoskeletal diseases.

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Increase in the strength of the lower limbs after 14 weeks of intervention, verified by the number of repetitions performed during 30 seconds in the chair sit and stand test, based on an average variation of 3 repetitions in the pre and post intervention measurements.
