Had presented with a complaint of neck pain
Had not received any treatment for neck pain in previous month
Had neck pain due to fracture tumor infection severe spondyloarthropathy or other nonmechanical cause
had progressive neurological deficit
myelopathy herniated nucleus pulposus or severe incapacitating pain
had severe coexisting disease
Being treated with electrical devices
had a blood coagulation disorder or were using corticosteroids or anticoagulant medications
had a history of stroke or transient ischemic attacks
